Remembering and honouring
A talk by Brian Russell
Brian will be present to introduce a new booklet that brings alive our unique village over the years 1900 to 1950.
The names on our war memorial unlock a wealth of stories. We are unique amongst villages in south Warwickshire because families came to the village from across the world to head up four grand houses. The families knew each other, trusted each other and networked. They also adopted our village and gave care and support to the families caught up here in both world wars, ensuring a sense of community and a secure livelihood whenever possible.
What hapened next to our leading families?
Brian will add to the story in the boklet but giving some fascinating updates. There will then be time to share our own reflections, memories and questions about Moreton Morrell.
The booklet is in aid of our church restoration fund.
